The Food Runner and Busser role at Cowboy Jack's Saloon is an essential position that directly contributes to the smooth operation of the restaurant and enhances the overall guest experience. The Food Runner is primarily responsible for assisting wait staff by promptly and accurately delivering food from the kitchen to the correct tables. This requires a thorough understanding of the menu items, their presentation, and correct placement as per the customer's order. Ensuring that every ticket is reviewed for accuracy and quality before leaving the kitchen is a critical responsibility. The Food Runner must also communicate any special requests or corrections with the kitchen staff efficiently while upholding strict sanitation and food safety standards.

In addition to the Food Runner duties, the Busser is tasked with continuously circulating throughout the restaurant to attend to guest needs and maintain cleanliness and orderliness. Bussing duties include cleaning tables and surrounding areas as needed, replenishing condiments, refilling drinks, conducting bathroom checks, and stocking cups. This role demands the ability to maintain composure and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, often requiring standing for the duration of a shift. These combined duties support the wait staff and ensure that guests receive timely, attentive service in a comfortable setting.
