Staff members work as a team to ensure smooth operations, timely food delivery, and guest satisfaction. The restaurant environment is fast-paced and energetic, catering to a broad clientele. The role of Food Runner in this setting is crucial to maintaining the flow of the kitchen and dining room, ensuring that guests receive their meals promptly and correctly, and that the overall dining experience is seamless and enjoyable.
The Food Runner assists servers by delivering food to the right tables at the appropriate times, ensuring all dishes are accurate, presented well, and at the correct temperature. This role requires strong communication skills as the Food Runner coordinates effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure food orders are executed properly. Additionally, the Food Runner is responsible for clearing dirty plates and silverware, tidying work stations, and responding promptly to guest needs. Standing and moving throughout the restaurant for the entirety of the shift is required, as well as the ability to carry plates and maintain their warmth until delivered to guests. This position generally requires 1-2 years of experience in the food service or hospitality industry, preferably in a busy restaurant environment where the ability to work quickly and efficiently is vital. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. The Food Runner should be knowledgeable about menu items to answer guest inquiries and provide excellent support to servers and the overall dining area team. This role is an integral part of the restaurant's service team and contributes significantly to the customer's dining satisfaction experience.

Job Duties
- Check food for accuracy, presentation and temperature prior to removing it from the window
- Communicate with all parts of the kitchen so food ticket is executed correctly
- Deliver food to tables promptly
- Answer questions about the food if guest asks
- Pre-bus soiled plates from guest tables
- Tidy work stations and expo area
- Understand restaurant layout in order for food to be delivered correctly
