Job Requirements
- 1-3 years experience working in a similar setting
- outgoing personality with ability to interact with high profile guests professionally
- strong communication skills
- ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance
- availability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends including all Hawks home games
Job Qualifications
- Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests
- excellent communication skills
- proven runner or bar back experience in a fast-paced environment
- conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day
- lift and move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Retrieve all needed food items from kitchen and deliver to bar area
- retrieve all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and deliver to bar area
- set up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf
- ensure beer taps are working properly
- place appropriate bar snacks on counter and keep supplies stocked throughout shift
- assist in opening and closing side work as assigned
- bus tables in bar area
- help ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, floors
- remove rubbish from all receptacles
- prepare and serve beverages as needed to assist bartender
- perform other duties as assigned
