The role offered is a part-time food service position within PENN Entertainment's food and beverage team. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one to two years related experience in food service operation or training
  • knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • basic knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • knowledge of weights, measures, and recipe yield
  • ability to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
  • must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance and dress standards
  • must be at least 21 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service
  • greets each guest approaching their station
  • maintains current and accurate information regarding food items, preparation techniques, and ingredients
  • responsible for wiping down server-side expo area and all touching areas as needed
  • removes tainted dishware and trashes to dish pit
  • sweeps floors and keeps them clean and dry throughout shift
  • ensures a successful tray-up and run delivery of all ordered items to the corresponding table
  • reads food orders from computer printout and confirms all items are prepared as ordered
  • ensures all food items are prepared according to standard recipes and menu for consistency
  • ensures plate presentation meets established guidelines
  • assists in replenishing front line provisions, condiments, and plate ware
  • uses FIFO method in stocking food items
  • wipes counter areas, sinks, and floors to maintain a clean and safe workstation
  • maintains cleanliness of designated areas to meet health and safety standards
  • maintains par levels of operating supplies and food product for each workstation
  • operates and maintains all equipment and utensils per guidelines
  • provides personalized service using guests' names where possible
  • promotes current casino events and programs and directs guests accordingly
  • actively demonstrates superior customer service per department and company standards
  • ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and reports potential issues to management
