The current opportunity is for a Food Runner position, an essential role within the hospitality framework of PENN Entertainment's venues. Food Runners ensure that guests receive their food promptly and enjoy a seamless dining experience, contributing significantly to the overall satisfaction and positive perception of the brand. This position is hourly, offering a base salary of $17.00 per hour, with placement based on the candidate's relevant skills, knowledge, and experience. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
0-6 months of experience or equivalent
Outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
Must enjoy hosting others
Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints
Basic math skills
Ability to interpret written and oral instructions
Capacity to work independently with minimal direction
Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
Knowledge of hotel/casino industry a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in a team
Compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements
Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment
Knowledge and compliance with company policies
Ability to climb heights above 10 feet
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to perform physical tasks like pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and balancing

Job Duties

Delivers food to guests in a timely manner
Run food to guests depending on specific shift assignment such as food runner station or bar/drink runner station
Clear all tables and reset them for new seating according to venue standards
Ensure each table is prepared for guest arrival according to venue standards
Approach newly seated guests to serve bread, butter, water, etc. promptly and pleasantly while working with servers to expedite service
Monitor tables to assess and respond to guests' needs, keeping tables clear and tidy after meals
Restock and clean assigned station at shift end following Department of Health standards
Attend pre-shift meetings
Maintain regular and consistent attendance
Collaborate as a team member with servers, hosts, supervisors, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
Assist servers with duties including sidework
Perform other duties as assigned by restaurant management
