Job Description

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is a renowned boutique hospitality brand known for its heartfelt and genuine approach to service. Founded by Bill Kimpton in 1981 in San Francisco, Kimpton Hotels revolutionized the hospitality industry by focusing on creating personal, meaningful connections rather than generic service experiences. This dedication to authenticity and warmth defines every aspect of Kimpton’s vibrant work culture and guest experience. The company prides itself on fostering an environment where employees are encouraged to express their true selves, bringing their diverse talents, creativity, and personalities to work each day. This ethos creates a lively, dynamic, and supportive workplace, which not only benefits its employees but also profoundly enhances guest interactions.

This role is an essential part of the Kimpton restaurant team, centered on delivering an exceptional dining experience. As a Restaurant Team Member, you will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting and welcoming guests warmly and ensuring that all food service operations are executed efficiently and courteously. Your efforts will contribute directly to maintaining a clean, safe, and inspiring environment for both colleagues and patrons. This position requires weekend availability and a flexible schedule, including evenings and holidays, underscoring the importance of adaptability in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Your key responsibilities include serving guests promptly and courteously, assisting with buffet setup and refills, room service support, and helping maintain cleanliness standards throughout the dining spaces. Additionally, developing a strong knowledge of the menu items, including food, wine, and beverages, is crucial to effectively communicating with guests about product offerings and allergy information. The role calls for a hardworking individual who thrives on teamwork, possesses a passion for quality customer care, and is eager to grow within a unique, boutique hotel environment that values creativity and self-leadership.

The compensation for this position starts at $14 per hour and includes a competitive benefits package featuring paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and other benefits for eligible staff. Kimpton Hotels is committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for people of all races, ethnicities, ages, religions, physical abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities. Working here means more than just having a job; it means being part of a community dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of coworkers, guests, owners, and local communities. Join Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and bring your authentic self to a refreshing work culture where your contributions truly matter.
