The Food Runner, also called "Asistente de Mesero/a," plays an essential role within the team at Dockside 1953 by supporting Food Servers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position is a dynamic blend of hospitality and operational duties, focusing on timely and accurate delivery of food to guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service areas, and bolstering the overall dining experience. Food Runners must be attentive to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently during busy meal periods, and dedicated to maintaining a positive and professional demeanor throughout their shift.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in hospitality
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Must obtain San Diego County Food Handler certification
- Must hold RBS certification
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing and lifting
- Valid legal eligibility to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience or training
- A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar hospitality business preferred
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Must attain valid San Diego County Food Handler certification upon hire
- Required RBS certification
- Ability to maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, and positive demeanor
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Job Duties
- Run food from the kitchen to guests tables during meal periods
- Fill and maintain water glasses and coffee mugs at guests tables
- Inspect table settings to ensure proper setup and cleanliness of silverware and condiments
- Maintain the service storeroom in a clean and organized condition
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by leadership
