Within this dynamic and fast-paced environment, Ellis Park is currently seeking dedicated and service-oriented Food Runners to join their team. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless food and beverage service across all venue locations on site. The Food Runner’s primary responsibility is to facilitate the smooth operation of dining services by stock replenishment, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting other team members including cashiers, cooks, bartenders, servers, and management. By doing so, the Food Runner helps ensure that customer needs are met promptly and that the venues uphold the high standards of service that Ellis Park is known for.

This position requires a proactive approach to venue maintenance and customer service. Food Runners will communicate special menu items and promotions to customers in a friendly and approachable manner, restock condiments as necessary, and oversee beverage areas featuring alcoholic drinks, brews, and coffee. A key part of the role is maintaining high cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with the Food Systems Food Safety and Sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both guests and staff.

Moreover, Food Runners must exhibit the ability to work independently while following directions, display urgency to minimize wait times, and ensure stocked products are rotated to maintain proper expiration dates. General maintenance duties such as mopping floors, wiping countertops, and cleaning food preparation areas are also essential to this position. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as standing for long periods, kneeling, reaching overhead, bending, and lifting weights up to 150 pounds occasionally. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperature conditions, reflecting the versatile nature of the job. Additionally, regular and punctual attendance including flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays is necessary to meet the operational demands of Ellis Park.
