Willamette Valley Vineyards is currently seeking an energetic and customer-focused individual to join their fast-paced retail department as a part-time Food Runner. This role is essential to the daily operation of the Tasting Room, acting as a vital link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. The Food Runner position requires someone who is not only attentive and efficient but also eager to learn and grow within the company. Employees in this role will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about the exquisite dishes served at the vineyard, including understanding all the ingredient details to better assist and educate guests.

The position demands a high level of professionalism and hospitality, ensuring that guests receive their food promptly and with a warm, welcoming attitude. As a team player, the Food Runner will support the winery’s efforts to maintain a clean and organized environment, contributing to sustainability and green initiatives through mindful practices. Working weekends is necessary as many events and tastings occur during this time, making weekend availability a crucial aspect of this job.

  • A valid current Food Handler's Card
  • excellent communication skills
  • highly developed organizational and time management skills
  • lift 40lbs and navigate stairs and hilly terrain
  • able to work in kitchen environment exposed to heat, wet, cold, and humid conditions
  • ability to work well under pressure
