The role of Room Service Runner at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is an exciting opportunity for motivated and customer-focused individuals. This role involves taking guest orders over the phone, accurately collecting food orders from the kitchen, and delivering food and beverages efficiently to guest rooms. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as the resort's layout and amenities. Attention to detail and maintaining high service standards, including courteous and professional demeanor, are critical for success in this role. Additionally, responsibilities include submitting signed checks, reconciling daily sales, and assisting with tray collection and proper breakdown. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage service is a plus
- Knowledge of food service safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to lift and carry trays and food items
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Be thoroughly familiar with the menus, ingredients, and methods of preparation for each dish, wine list, as well as hours of operation for all food and beverage outlets
- Has a thorough knowledge of the room layout and the property in general
- Is knowledgeable about the hotel and its amenities
- Collects orders from the kitchen, ensuring they have been prepared correctly
- Promptly and efficiently deliver food and beverage to the guest's room
- Submit signed checks and reconcile daily sales
- Assist with the collection of Room Service trays and other food and beverage items from guest rooms including proper breakdown of trays and other items
- Practice all standards of proper service etiquette throughout the guest dining experience
- Consistently deliver courteous and professional service
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness including personal appearance, equipment, and facility
