The role of the Food Runner at SaddleBrooke Two is an essential position within their vibrant dining services department. This role is responsible for facilitating customer food orders and ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and satisfying dining experience. The Food Runner acts as a vital link between the kitchen staff and the dining room, making sure that food quality and presentation standards are rigorously adhered to before meals leave the kitchen. This position demands attention to detail to verify that all food orders are correct and complete, promptly delivered to the appropriate tables and guest positions.
Additionally, Food Runners are entrusted with maintaining a well-stocked and organized dining environment by ensuring guests have all necessary tableware, condiments, and service utensils readily available to enhance their meal enjoyment. Effective communication with servers is crucial to relay guest requests such as drink refills and other dining needs. Beyond transporting food, the Food Runner also plays a part in upholding cleanliness standards by regularly tidying their work area and restocking supplies throughout their shift.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and physical stamina to handle the demands of standing for extended periods and carrying trays weighing up to 35 pounds. - at least one year of restaurant experience preferred
- food handler's card
- demonstrate speed and efficiency in performing assigned tasks
- must be able to follow directions easily and work accurately
- have strong customer service skills
- ability to remain calm under stressful situations
- physical ability and stamina to carry trays weighing up to 35 lbs and stand for long hours

- taking out food in a timely manner and correctly reading tickets and numbers to give out food
- taking directions from supervisory or lead staff to promptly get food to the correct ticket
