Job Description

Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is a premier destination known for its unique blend of Southern charm, exceptional hospitality, and grand-scale resort experiences. As part of the renowned Gaylord Hotels brand under Marriott International, the resort offers a dynamic environment where luxury meets comfort, catering to thousands of guests annually. With its beautiful architecture, extensive meeting spaces, and world-class amenities, the resort serves as a hub for conventions, leisure travelers, and special events alike. Emphasizing quality, diversity, and inclusion, Gaylord Opryland fosters a workplace culture that values creativity, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence.

This position is for a Food and Beverage Guest Service Expert working full-time at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. This is a non-management role paying $15.00 per hour with eligibility for tips, ideal for individuals enthusiastic about creating memorable guest experiences beyond just serving food and beverages. The primary focus is to deliver exceptional service that contributes to guests’ overall experience by taking initiative in a variety of tasks such as setting tables, supporting kitchen operations, cleaning work areas, and replenishing supplies. The role demands a proactive mindset to ensure every service element integrates seamlessly into the guest experience.

Candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, physically active environment where they are on their feet most of the time, navigating different surfaces and performing varied movements including lifting items under 50 pounds, reaching high places, crouching, bending, and twisting. Attention to detail and adherence to company standards on quality, safety, personal appearance, and communication are critical to success. The role requires reading and verifying menu information, supporting teammates, and ensuring the workspace is safe and welcoming for guests. This position aims at continuous improvement and team collaboration to maintain the high standards expected from Gaylord and Marriott International's hospitality services.

Beyond the daily tasks, the company encourages a workplace that embraces diversity and inclusion, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on disability, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. Working at Gaylord Hotels means being part of a vibrant community of STARs — individuals committed to creative, heartfelt service and professional growth. Employees enjoy a wealth of opportunities within the expansive Marriott International portfolio, from engaging work environments to comprehensive benefits.

Ultimately, joining the Gaylord Opryland Resort as a Food and Beverage Guest Service Expert offers a unique chance to be involved in a leading hospitality brand while developing valuable skills in the food and beverage industry. It is a platform for those eager to contribute to outstanding guest experiences and advance their careers in a supportive, enriching atmosphere.
