Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum one year food service or related experience in an upscale restaurant
- Ability to process cash and credit card payments accurately
- Ability to work in a high pressure, high volume environment
- Proficiency in English language
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Commitment to excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year food service or related work in an upscale restaurant environment
- Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
- Ability to cope with stress and work in a high volume operation
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
Job Duties
- Describe food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods
- Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
- Coordinate food timings
- check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order
- assist in transporting items to the guest table in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Properly and accurately close guest checks
- process cash and credit card payments
- properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals
- Breakdown, clean and set-up tables, buffets, and food stations
- Ensure proper completion of daily side work
