Job Description

Chili's Grill & Bar, established in Dallas, Texas in 1975, is a renowned casual dining restaurant chain that has firmly established itself as a go-to destination for American barbecue and Tex-Mex favorites. Famous for its Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, full-on fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas, Chili's prides itself on delivering a memorable dining experience that blends great food with warm hospitality and outstanding service. The company embodies a culture deeply rooted in service excellence, hospitality, and community involvement, striving to provide every guest with an exceptional experience each day. Since its inception, Chili's has grown into a beloved brand with locations across the United States and beyond, continuing to evolve its menu and atmosphere while staying true to its founding values.

The Food Runner role at Chili's is a pivotal part of the guest experience, designed for individuals who are passionate about food, beverage, and customer service. Food Runners at Chili's play an essential role in bridging the kitchen and dining room, ensuring that food is delivered promptly and accurately to guests while maintaining a hospitable and energetic demeanor. This is an entry-level position ideal for those enthusiastic about hospitality and eager to quickly grow their career within the restaurant industry, with many Food Runners advancing to become Servers. As a Food Runner, you are not only responsible for supporting the front-of-house team but also for creating a personalized and welcoming experience for every guest. The role demands an enthusiastic personality, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine desire to make guests feel valued and special.

Food Runners are crucial in maintaining the flow and cleanliness of the dining area by pre-bussing tables and assisting with clearing any glassware, plates, and utensils, ensuring a seamless dining experience. They work hand-in-hand with other team members, including servers, hosts, and kitchen staff, to deliver amicable and customized service that elevates guest satisfaction. Flexibility in scheduling is important, as Food Runners must be available to work some weekends, weekdays, and holidays as necessary. Chili's offers a supportive team culture, growth opportunities, and a benefits package that includes health, dental, and life insurance, making it an appealing workplace for individuals seeking to advance in the hospitality sector. The position provides a competitive wage starting at $10.70 per hour plus tips, reflecting Chili's commitment to rewarding hard work and excellent performance.
