Job Description

Delaware North Sportservice is a prominent hospitality company known for managing food and beverage operations in major venues across the United States. One of its marquee locations is Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Texas Rangers baseball team. Since the stadium's opening in 2020, Delaware North has been responsible for operating concessions, suites, catering, premium dining, and retail management within this iconic 40,300-seat facility. The company offers a diverse menu that includes classic stadium foods as well as ample vegan options, catering to a variety of guest preferences. As a family-owned business with over a century of history, Delaware North prides itself on a global legacy that emphasizes quality service, team member development, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Delaware North's operations extend beyond sports arenas to include restaurants, hotels, casinos, and national parks, which provides opportunities for team members to pursue diverse career paths in hospitality. The company values its employees and offers a supportive work environment where both part-time and full-time staff receive training, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth. Delaware North is also committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunity employment for all qualified applicants without regard to race, gender, or other legally protected statuses.

The Food Runner position at Delaware North Sportservice is a seasonal, tipped role based at Globe Life Field. This role is critical in enhancing guest satisfaction by swiftly delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests seated within the stadium. Food Runners work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy and promptness as they navigate between sections to fulfill orders placed through a mobile app. The position includes responsibilities such as helping box up food and snacks before and during games, responding to guest inquiries about menu items, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of pantry areas.

This position offers flexible scheduling with shifts often requiring availability during evenings, weekends, and major events. While no formal educational requirement such as a high school diploma or GED is necessary, candidates must be physically capable of performing tasks such as standing for extended periods, walking up and down stairs, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Delaware North also provides comprehensive benefits to eligible team members, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursements.

With a competitive starting pay of $15.00 per hour plus tips, this opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking to develop their hospitality skills within a reputable and globally recognized company. Delaware North focuses on fostering a team-oriented culture that values every individual’s contribution to delivering memorable experiences for guests. If you are enthusiastic about customer service and want to grow within the hospitality field, this Food Runner role at Globe Life Field provides a unique gateway to build your career in an exciting sports venue setting.
