Job Description

Evolution Hospitality is a distinguished leader in the hospitality industry, serving as the lifestyle vertical of Aimbridge Hospitality. The company manages a curated collection of properties including independent, luxury, boutique, lifestyle, and soft brand hotels, as well as a variety of restaurants, bars, and lounges throughout North America. As a company, Evolution Hospitality prioritizes a blend of culture and results, ensuring both exceptional guest experiences and strong operational performance. This commitment is reflected in their meticulous selection of team members, who embody honesty, humility, intellect, and ability while striving for personal and professional growth. The organization creates distinct lifestyle experiences, positioning itself as a world-class operator known for professionalism, innovation, and an inclusive team culture.

The role of a Food Runner at Evolution Hospitality is crucial in delivering an excellent dining experience to members and guests. The Food Runner acts as the eyes and ears of the service team, anticipating guests’ needs and delivering food and beverage items with professionalism, efficiency, and enthusiasm. This position requires working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, often outdoors in varied weather conditions, and demands both physical stamina and exceptional interpersonal skills. Food Runners assist servers by presenting menus, answering questions, and making suggestions, ensuring that all orders are complete, accurate, and attractively presented before serving to guests.

They are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and café areas and ensuring that supplies are well-stocked. Food Runners engage closely with guests by using their names, attentively observing and responding to additional requests, and maintaining a 'full hands out, full hands in' workflow to maximize efficiency. This role also includes monitoring kitchen times, communicating effectively with servers and management, and being knowledgeable about menus, alcoholic beverages, specials, and any unavailable items.

Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or equivalent unless currently enrolled, with a preference for one year of prior experience in upscale dining or club environments. Certifications related to liquor, wine, food service, and alcohol awareness are preferred but not mandatory. Physical ability to perform job functions such as lifting trays and cases up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and moving efficiently throughout the workspace is essential. Exceptional communication skills and a professional appearance are required to interact effectively with both guests and team members.

This role offers career growth opportunities within a company dedicated to the personal and professional development of its employees. After an initial probationary period, full-time employees may become eligible for a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income, life insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and a 401k retirement plan. Daily pay options are also available, providing flexibility and financial convenience to team members. Overall, Evolution Hospitality offers an engaging work environment where passionate individuals can contribute meaningfully to creating memorable lifestyle experiences for guests while advancing their own careers in hospitality.
