- prior experience as a food runner, expediter, or similar restaurant role is a plus but not required
- willingness to learn and adapt
Job Duties
- check each plate for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before leaving the kitchen
- organize and prioritize dishes to ensure complete orders are sent out together timely
- efficiently run hot and cold food items from kitchen to correct tables
- communicate dietary restrictions, special requests, and timing of orders between kitchen and front-of-house
- assist with plating, garnishing, and ensuring condiments or utensils accompany each dish
- maintain a clean and organized expo line and pass-through area
- collaborate with restaurant leadership, cooks, servers, and bussers for smooth service flow
