Job Description

The position available is a non-exempt role directly reporting to the General Manager, with indirect reporting to other management team members. The primary purpose of this role is to expedite all menu items during shifts to guests with the highest quality and within the standards set by The Amalfi Llama. Candidates for this role should expect to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment that requires a fast foot speed, positive attitude, outgoing personality, and a deep passion for the brand.
Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting guests with a warm smile, assisting patrons throughout the restaurant, answering inquiries related to food and drink offerings, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws regarding alcohol service. The role also involves maintaining cleanliness and organization within the dining area, including collecting dirty dishes, rolling and polishing silverware, replenishing condiments, setting and bussing tables to the highest standards, and performing opening and closing duties such as cleaning and assembling or dismantling work stations.
Candidates will interact with a variety of equipment including point-of-sale systems, assorted knives, scissors, coffee, tea, and espresso machines, and assorted china and flatware. The role is physically demanding, involving prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting, as well as working around hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment in a sometimes loud and congested workspace.
The Amalfi Llama operates under an at-will employment structure, which means either the employee or the employer can terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice. While the responsibilities described provide a comprehensive overview of the role, additional tasks may be assigned as necessary to meet the business needs. Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Food Handler Certified
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Compliance with employee handbook and training manuals
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to lift products and supplies
- Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and repetitive hand and wrist motion

Job Duties
- Greet or assist guests with a genuine friendly disposition

- Memorize food, drink and rotating menus
- Observe state and federal laws regarding the service of alcohol
- Collect dirty dishes and bring them to the kitchen
- Polish, replenish, and roll silverware
