The Food Runner role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our dining service. As a Food Runner, you will play a crucial part in delivering food promptly and accurately to our guests, ensuring that every dish meets presentation and temperature standards before reaching the table. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with kitchen staff and servers to confirm order accuracy and expedite food service, enhancing the overall dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, a good understanding of our menu items, and the ability to work swiftly in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining cleanliness and order around the service areas by clearing tables and tidying workstations. The successful candidate will be physically capable of standing and moving throughout shifts, able to handle warm plates safely, and comfortable lifting up to 20 pounds. Prior experience in food service or hospitality, especially in a high-volume setting, is preferred to excel in this role. This position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to respond proactively to guest needs and service demands.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in food service or hospitality field
- Ability to stand for the entirety of scheduled shift
- Ability to walk and move around the restaurant for the majority of scheduled shift
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to hold warm plates to deliver food to guests in a timely fashion
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in food service or hospitality field
- High volume restaurant experience is a plus
- Strong verbal skills
- Strong knowledge of menu items
- Ability to move quickly to ensure food is delivered promptly and that food in the window does not sit for longer than expected
Job Duties
- Check food for accuracy, presentation and temperature prior to removing it from the window
- Communicate with all parts of the kitchen so food ticket is executed correctly
- Deliver food to tables promptly
- Answer questions about the food if guest asks
- Pre-bus soiled plates from guest tables
- Tidy work stations and expo area
- Understand restaurant layout in order for food to be delivered correctly
