The City of Boise Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking motivated and energetic individuals to fill the position of Food Runner / Busser for a seasonal, temporary assignment.   • Previous experience in restaurant environment
  • ability to interact with customers tactfully

  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds
  • availability to work evenings weekends and holidays
  • must pass City of Boise background check including criminal and reference checks
  • at least 16 years of age or older

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant as food expeditor prep cook or similar position
  • ability to interact with customers in a tactful manner
  • provide high-level customer service to patrons
  • complete assignments in a timely fashion
  • understand and comply with rules policies and regulations
  • maintain prompt and regular attendance
  • communicate effectively in English
  • perform all essential functions with or without accommodation

Job Duties

  • Deliver food orders from kitchen to customers ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • double-check orders for correctness and presentation
  • serve as liaison between kitchen and front-of-house staff communicating issues or delays
  • assist kitchen staff with garnishing dishes preparing sides restocking supplies
  • maintain cleanliness by clearing and resetting tables
  • set up tables with condiments utensils and napkins
  • perform other duties as assigned
