The City of Boise Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking motivated and energetic individuals to fill the position of Food Runner / Busser for a seasonal, temporary assignment. Job Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant environment
- ability to interact with customers tactfully
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- ability to complete assignments timely
- comprehension of rules policies and regulations
- punctual and reliable attendance
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds
- availability to work evenings weekends and holidays
- must pass City of Boise background check including criminal and reference checks
- at least 16 years of age or older
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant as food expeditor prep cook or similar position
- ability to interact with customers in a tactful manner
- provide high-level customer service to patrons
- complete assignments in a timely fashion
- understand and comply with rules policies and regulations
- maintain prompt and regular attendance
- communicate effectively in English
- perform all essential functions with or without accommodation
Job Duties
- Deliver food orders from kitchen to customers ensuring accuracy and completeness
- double-check orders for correctness and presentation
- serve as liaison between kitchen and front-of-house staff communicating issues or delays
- assist kitchen staff with garnishing dishes preparing sides restocking supplies
- maintain cleanliness by clearing and resetting tables
- set up tables with condiments utensils and napkins
- perform other duties as assigned
