Job Description

The Fnb Food Runner / Busser position is an integral role within a dynamic hospitality environment, specifically catering to the food and beverage sector. This role typically exists within establishments such as clubs, golf courses, or upscale dining venues, where the seamless coordination between kitchen staff and front-of-house servers is critical to providing excellent guest experiences. Food Runners and Bussers operate as vital links in the chain that ensures guests receive their meals swiftly, accurately, and in an aesthetically pleasing manner, all while maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining areas.

This role involves much more than simply delivering food; it requires keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Candidates must be adept at working alongside kitchen staff to prioritize orders, manage timely delivery, verify meal accuracy including special modifications, and assist servers with various duties that enhance the flow of service. Bussers help maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness by resetting tables quickly and thoroughly after guests depart, which contributes directly to the overall ambiance and efficiency of the restaurant environment.

The role is essential to smooth restaurant operations and achieving high levels of member or guest satisfaction. It demands a dedicated individual who can perform duties such as refilling water glasses, replenishing bread and condiments, completing side work, organizing plates, and packaging to-go and mobile orders while ensuring all items meet service and safety standards. The Food Runner / Busser acts as a communication liaison between the service and culinary teams, ensuring that all par levels for side order items are maintained, rotated, and dated properly.

Employment is generally on a flexible schedule to accommodate nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the operating hours of the hospitality venue. This flexibility is critical as service demands peak during these times. A candidate must also meet essential requirements including being at least 18 years old, holding a Nevada Food Handlers or Servsafe certification, demonstrating reliable attendance, and passing mandatory screenings such as drug tests. Physical readiness is necessary due to the demands of lifting up to 35 pounds or more with assistance and the need for continual movement throughout shifts.

This job is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality, eager to develop strong teamwork skills, and committed to delivering outstanding guest service. Successful Food Runners / Bussers contribute significantly to the positive dining experiences that keep members, guests, and patrons returning. Salary and specific employment type details can vary by location and establishment but typically align with industry standards for part-time or full-time food service roles within club or golf course settings.
