We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Food Runners and Bussers. This position is essential in bridging the gap between our kitchen and dining area, ensuring that freshly prepared dishes are delivered promptly, and tables are maintained meticulously for a comfortable and inviting guest experience. Working closely with servers and kitchen staff, the Food Runner and Busser will be instrumental in maintaining smooth and efficient service during busy shifts. As a Food Runner and Busser at Clutch Kitchen, you will be the friendly face that helps guests enjoy their dining experience seamlessly from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include delivering orders efficiently, clearing and resetting tables promptly, supporting servers during peak times, and ensuring that food safety standards are upheld throughout service. Experience with POS systems such as Toast is a plus, as communication with kitchen staff is vital for coordination and guest satisfaction. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work part-time hours, typically 15 to 20 hours per week
  • Physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with food handling, serving techniques, and bussing procedures
  • Experience with POS systems such as Toast is a plus
  • Strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Deliver freshly prepared dishes from the kitchen to guests' tables efficiently and accurately, ensuring presentation standards are met
  • Clear and reset tables swiftly to maintain a clean, organized dining area that encourages guest comfort and turnover
  • Assist servers by bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and providing additional support during busy service times
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using Toast POS systems to coordinate food orders and special requests
  • Support food safety standards by handling dishes and utensils properly, maintaining cleanliness throughout service
  • Help with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including garnishing or portioning ingredients under supervision
  • Maintain a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless teamwork and guest satisfaction at all times
