The Food Runner / Busser at 32 Brews St plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant’s food and beverage service. This position is responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately according to company standards, ensuring guests receive their orders as intended by the kitchen and bar staff. The role involves maintaining all food and beverage products and supplies, handling the cleanliness and readiness of table settings, and supporting servers by clearing and resetting tables efficiently. The Food Runner / Busser is also tasked with pre-busing tables, monitoring cleanliness throughout the restaurant, and assisting with customer service duties, such as beverage and plate service. This position demands attention to detail, communication with other team members like hosts or hostesses for seating arrangements, and adherence to sanitation and safety protocols.

Additionally, the Food Runner / Busser is expected to support stock management by restocking and maintaining all food and beverage supplies, helping the restaurant function seamlessly during busy service periods. Training sessions and periodic meetings are part of the role, emphasizing continuous improvement and compliance with departmental and governmental regulations. Being 21 years or older, holding the necessary licenses and certifications, including a ServSafe certification and California alcohol licensing, is mandatory for this position. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • possess a high school or equivalent diploma
  • have the ability to obtain appropriate licenses pursuant to California regulations
  • sanitation certified
  • must acquire ServSafe or state-recognized food safety program certification
  • licensed to serve alcohol
  • able to read, speak and write English
  • gaming license required

Job Duties

  • Delivering food and beverages according to company standards
  • maintaining all food and beverage products and supplies
  • clearing and setting tables in designated station
  • familiarizing with service standards for table setups, beverage service and pre-busing
  • cleaning restaurant floors, carpets and service stations
  • monitoring cleanliness of place settings, tabletops, seats and floors
  • leaving money or guest checks on tables
  • performing customer service duties such as beverage and plate service
  • communicating with host/hostess for seating needs and guest service issues
  • cleaning and resetting tables according to sanitation guidelines
  • performing stock supply duties to maintain par levels
  • restocking and maintaining all food and beverage items
  • providing outstanding customer and employee service
