Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Food Runner to join our winning team. This role is not just a job; it is an opportunity to become an integral part of a team that strives to meet and exceed guest expectations from the moment they enter the restaurant. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in the timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring that guests receive their meals promptly and with accuracy. This position requires efficient multitasking, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering great food and great fun in a fast-paced environment.
The Food Runner position at McCormick & Schmicks offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.90 with the additional benefit of earning tips. The role includes a variety of perks such as flexible scheduling, generous employee discounts on dining, retail, amusements, and hotels, as well as multiple benefit plans tailored to meet employee needs. Paid time off or paid sick leave is available depending on location, further enhancing the work-life balance for team members.
Employees in this role receive unparalleled training and development programs designed to hone their skills and prepare them for potential advancement within the company. As part of Landry's League, there are community volunteer opportunities that foster team spirit and community engagement. Candidates who embrace the company’s “Be FAIR” ideals — being Friendly, Accommodating, Inclusive, and Respectful — will find a welcoming and rewarding work culture. The Food Runner must be a team player with a guest-first attitude and ideally bring prior restaurant experience, although this is preferred and not mandatory. If you have a passion for excellent food service and thrive in a fast-paced setting, this role offers an excellent pathway to grow your hospitality career with a supportive employer who values its employees as their greatest asset.
