We are currently seeking Food Runners to join the front of house team at the Cedar Rapids, IA location. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, team-oriented, and enjoy maintaining an active role within a fast-paced restaurant environment. Food Runners at 30hop play a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are delivered promptly and correctly, supporting service flow, and maintaining standards of cleanliness and organization in guest areas.
As a Food Runner, you will earn $8.10 per hour plus tips, with tip payouts distributed the following morning. We offer both full-time and part-time positions with shifts ranging from 4 to 8 hours. Availability is required from 4:00 PM to close Monday through Friday, as well as daytime shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. For full-time employees working an average of 35 or more hours weekly, a comprehensive benefits package is available. This includes paid time off starting at 2 weeks per year with increases based on tenure, medical insurance with half the premium covered by 30hop, dental and vision coverage options, and a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary employer matching for eligible employees.

Job Duties
- Deliver food to guests promptly and accurately while maintaining presentation standards
- Verify food items and table numbers before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate with the kitchen and service teams to help ensure accurate and timely food delivery
- Respond to guest requests and communicate missing items, concerns, or other needs to the appropriate team member
- Keep food pickup and service areas clean and organized
- Help clear and reset tables and maintain dining areas throughout service
- Monitor restroom cleanliness and other guest-facing areas as needed
- Support servers, hosts, kitchen team members, and other team members during busy shifts
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and service standards
- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
- Perform additional duties as assigned
