Food & Beverage Food Runner Role
The Food Runner position at Omni Los Angeles Hotel is integral to delivering a seamless and memorable dining experience for guests. This role focuses on timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining areas, supporting servers and ensuring that guests receive their meals with a smile and the utmost care. The Food Runner acts as the link between the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team, maintaining smooth communication and efficient service flow.
This position plays a key role in upholding the hotel’s high service standards by anticipating guest needs, maintaining thorough knowledge of the menu, and assisting servers throughout meal periods. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- must be able to lift 50 lbs
- strong communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to multitask
- capacity to stand and walk for an entire shift
- must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must have Food Handlers and ServSafe Alcohol Certification

Job Duties
- bring food from the kitchen to tables to support the servers
- assist servers during meal period
- must have knowledge of all menu items
- greet guests in a warm and friendly manner
- assist the server with pre busing of plates
- assist servers in any capacity to ensure guest satisfaction
- inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform the server or manager
- perform any additional duties assigned by supervisor or management
