Food & Beverage Food Runner Role

The Food Runner position at Omni Los Angeles Hotel is integral to delivering a seamless and memorable dining experience for guests. This role focuses on timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining areas, supporting servers and ensuring that guests receive their meals with a smile and the utmost care. The Food Runner acts as the link between the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team, maintaining smooth communication and efficient service flow.

This position plays a key role in upholding the hotel’s high service standards by anticipating guest needs, maintaining thorough knowledge of the menu, and assisting servers throughout meal periods. Beyond simply delivering dishes, the Food Runner engages with guests warmly, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and attended to. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy hospitality environment.

As a Food Runner, you will be expected to adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, including obtaining Food Handlers and ServSafe Alcohol Certification. Job Duties

  • bring food from the kitchen to tables to support the servers
  • assist servers during meal period
  • must have knowledge of all menu items
  • greet guests in a warm and friendly manner
  • assist the server with pre busing of plates
  • assist servers in any capacity to ensure guest satisfaction
  • inquire if additional service is needed from guests upon delivery and inform the server or manager
  • perform any additional duties assigned by supervisor or management
