Job Description

The h.wood Group is a renowned hospitality and lifestyle company headquartered in Los Angeles with a diverse portfolio of upscale nightlife and restaurant concepts. Known for managing some of the most iconic brands globally such as Delilah, The Nice Guy, and Bootsy Bellows, the company has carved out a prestigious position in the luxury hospitality landscape. The h.wood Group's commitment goes beyond creating memorable dining experiences; it extends into corporate branding, catering, event production, and marketing services, reflecting a holistic approach to lifestyle and entertainment. The company prides itself on forging warm, inviting environments that deliver uniquely lavish experiences to their varied clientele, which spans locals, celebrities, and visitors seeking top-tier hospitality. Their emphasis on integrity and excellence is central to their mission of building the world's best restaurants, nightlife venues, and events.

Alphabet is the latest distinguished concept by The h.wood Group, introduced as a neighborhood gathering place that embodies classic Americana dining. Developed in partnership with Chef Timothy Hollingsworth and the Caruso group, Alphabet draws inspiration from the iconic Alphabet Streets of Pacific Palisades. This establishment offers a refined yet approachable menu built around elevated comfort food, timeless cocktails, and a warm, familiar ambiance designed to foster community connection and reconnection. Alphabet represents a modern California interpretation of the traditional American grill experience, blending culinary craftsmanship with a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere for all who visit.

We are currently seeking dedicated Food Runners to join the Alphabet team. This role is crucial in maintaining the seamless flow of service between the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that every guest experience meets our rigorous standards of quality and efficiency. Candidates for this position will have prior experience working in fast-paced, fine dining environments and possess excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively between kitchen staff and wait personnel. The role demands a high level of physical stamina and endurance, considering the extended periods spent standing and moving throughout the shift. Open availability is preferred to accommodate the dynamic nature of service hours.

Food Runners at Alphabet are responsible for organizing and expediting food orders, checking dishes for accuracy, presentation, and temperature before delivery, and assisting in minor preparation tasks to expedite service. They act as vital communicators, transferring important information between the kitchen and wait staff to address specific customer requests and ensure a smooth dining experience. Additionally, Food Runners help maintain cleanliness and uphold stringent quality and sanitation standards across the premises. This position offers the opportunity to work within a prestigious hospitality group committed to excellence, innovation, and community-oriented service, making it ideal for individuals passionate about building a career in upscale dining and hospitality.
