Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its dedication to providing exceptional guest experiences across its diverse portfolio of hotel brands. Among these brands is JW Marriott, an esteemed luxury hotel collection offering more than 100 properties in vibrant gateway cities and exquisite resort locations worldwide. JW Marriott distinguishes itself by fostering a workplace culture where associates are prioritized, empowering them to deliver top-tier hospitality. Through ongoing training, development opportunities, and a supportive environment that emphasizes well-being, JW Marriott cultivates a community-oriented atmosphere where employees can thrive, innovate, and pursue their passions. This commitment to associate satisfaction underpins the brand's promise of delivering not only luxury accommodations but also heartfelt and memorable experiences for every guest.
The position available is for a Guest Service Support Expert located in Redmond, Washington, at Marriott International's establishment on 7401 164th Ave NE. This role is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category, with a competitive pay rate of $20.35 per hour. This important role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of food and beverage services, an essential component of the overall guest experience at Marriott Hotels.
The Guest Service Support Expert is responsible for supporting daily food and beverage operations, contributing significantly to crafting an unforgettable guest experience that goes beyond just serving meals and drinks. This role involves various tasks such as setting tables, replenishing supplies, assisting the kitchen staff, and cleaning work areas to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming dining environment. The job challenges the associate to be physically active, requiring the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle materials weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance. The role demands acute attention to detail and adherence to company policies, including maintaining professional appearance and communication, following safety standards, and upholding Marriott's high-quality service expectations.
Marriott International’s commitment to diversity and equal opportunity is a cornerstone of their employment philosophy. They actively promote an inclusive environment, welcoming associates from various backgrounds and experiences, and ensuring non-discrimination based on any protected characteristic such as disability or veteran status. This role also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) plan, life and disability insurance, accident coverage, flexible spending accounts, paid parental leave, and educational assistance. Unique perks such as stock purchase plans and childcare discounts are provided as well, emphasizing Marriott's commitment to supporting the holistic well-being of its team members.
This position provides a prime opportunity for individuals interested in starting or advancing their career within the dynamic hospitality sector, particularly in food and beverage service. No prior supervisory experience is required, and while previous experience in food and beverage environments is preferred, it is not mandatory. The role requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and welcomes applicants eager to engage with customers, work collaboratively within a team, and uphold the excellent standards associated with Marriott Hotels. Joining Marriott International means becoming part of a global family dedicated to service excellence, innovation, and continuous growth. The Guest Service Support Expert role is a stepping stone toward building a rewarding career where employees become the best version of themselves while contributing to unforgettable guest experiences.
