Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, operating a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts across the world. Known for its commitment to quality service, innovation, and guest satisfaction, Marriott International maintains a strong reputation for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences. The company encompasses various brands, each targeting different market segments, and JW Marriott is the luxury brand within this portfolio, boasting over 100 prestigious hotels located in iconic cities and prime resort destinations worldwide.

JW Marriott places high value on its employees, emphasizing a culture where associates are respected, supported, and offered opportunities to grow professionally. The brand prides itself on fostering an environment that encourages innovation, authenticity, and genuine interactions. JW Marriott believes happy employees make happy guests and promotes a holistic approach to well-being, including comprehensive training programs, development initiatives, and a strong sense of community among team members.

This particular role is for a full-time Guest Services Expert position at a Marriott hotel located in Redmond, Washington. As a Guest Services Expert, your role goes far beyond simply serving food. You will be integral to creating memorable and unique experiences for guests by offering attentive service that anticipates and exceeds expectations. Your responsibilities will include setting tables, assisting in the kitchen, cleaning work areas, replenishing supplies, and performing various other tasks that contribute to the seamless delivery of service. This dynamic position involves constant interaction with guests and coworkers, requiring physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, lifting objects under 50 pounds, and navigating potentially uneven or slippery surfaces.

The job demands a professional appearance and communication style, adherence to company procedures, and maintaining high-quality standards at all times. While experience in a similar role is helpful, it is not mandatory, making this position accessible for individuals eager to build a career in hospitality. Marriott emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming candidates of diverse backgrounds and ensuring a workplace free from discrimination.

In addition to hourly pay of $20.35, the position includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, adoption expense reimbursements, paid parental leave, and educational assistance. Employees working full time in Washington also accrue paid sick leave, personal time off, and are eligible for at least seven paid holidays annually. The company offers a 401(k) retirement plan, stock purchase options, travel discounts, employee assistance programs, and childcare discounts.

Joining Marriott, especially the JW Marriott brand, means becoming part of a prestigious global team that strives to deliver the finest hospitality experiences. You will find a supportive environment that encourages you to be your best self, pursue your passion, and develop your career while enjoying the camaraderie of a diverse and inclusive workforce. Marriott International’s dedication to employee well-being and guest satisfaction is a cornerstone of its sustained success in the hospitality industry, and this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to that legacy.
