We are currently seeking a dedicated Food Runner to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the restaurant's seamless operation, acting as a vital liaison between the front of house and back of house staff. The Food Runner's main responsibility is to deliver food orders accurately and efficiently, while also possessing the knowledge to clearly describe menu items to guests and accommodate any special requests or allergies. The position requires a keen eye for detail to ensure that each guest receives exactly what they ordered, alongside maintaining an organized and clean expeditor station. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in fine dining environments, a strong understanding of ingredients and food allergens, and excellent communication skills. This role involves active engagement with guests to provide outstanding service and enhance their dining experience. Employment is typically full-time with a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, in line with our operational hours. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years fine dining experience
  • Dependability-job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player is must
  • Strong task and time management abilities
  • Eye for detail and understanding of food intolerances and allergies
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in difficult situations

Job Duties

  • Ensure the guest is receiving the correct order
  • Double check the order before it goes to a guest
  • Organize expeditor space
  • Answer any questions from the guest related to the food menu and any other questions
  • Possess strong knowledge of ingredients and allergens
  • Keep all working stations clean, organized and properly stocked
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
  • Provide the guest with excellent guest experience
