We are currently seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our dedicated team at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille. This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, luxury restaurant setting and is committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The Food Runner plays a critical role in supporting the front-of-house team by ensuring food orders are delivered promptly, accurately, and presented to the highest standard. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

The Food Runner is responsible for the seamless transfer of dishes from the kitchen to the guests' tables, confirming order accuracy, and assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the service areas. This role involves collaboration with servers and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth service operations and uphold the Five-Star standards of the Boston Harbor Hotel. Candidates must be flexible in their availability and ready to support the team in creating memorable dining experiences. Compensation for this position ranges from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour, reflecting the premium nature of the establishment and the expectations of its clientele. Job Requirements

At least one year of experience in a full-service restaurant
Experience in food and beverage service in a luxury environment preferred
Flexible availability for full-time work
Ability to maintain professionalism and a service-first attitude
Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Physical ability to lift weights up to 30 pounds regularly
Good communication skills
Basic math skills
Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
Require good communication skills, both verbal and written
Must possess basic computational ability
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs plus on a regular and continuous basis
Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
A second language is desirable

Job Duties

Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
Ensure that food presentation meets restaurant standards and confirm order accuracy before delivery
Assist servers and kitchen staff with coordination and communication to ensure high-quality service
Support table setup and clearing between courses or after meals as needed
Refill water, bread, and condiments throughout the guest's dining experience
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and the expo line
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
