The role of a Food Server at Sonesta International Hotels is integral to delivering the memorable dining experiences the brand promises. As a Food Server, the primary responsibility is to ensure that food items are served promptly as soon as they are ready, coordinating the service so that all guests seated at a table receive their meals simultaneously, highlighting the importance of timing and attention to detail. The job requires standing and moving quickly throughout shifts, with physical demands such as lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling, and wiping. The Food Server is expected to deliver the Sonesta GUEST model of customer service, which includes Greeting guests warmly, Using eye and ear contact along with calling guests by name, Establishing and anticipating needs, Solving and owning all requests or complaints, and Thanking each guest sincerely. Collaboration and respectful communication with colleagues are also essential to build a supportive and effective team working environment. Additional responsibilities may include supporting other hotel operations as required, emphasizing versatility within the team. Job Requirements

- Ability to stand and move quickly throughout entire shift
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Serve food and beverages orders, with appropriate garnishments and condiments to guests
- Responsible for making sure all food items are served as soon as they are ready
- Each guest seated at a table should be served together - timing is important
- Respond to questions with informed answers
- Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for the entire shift
- Must have a good sense of balance, be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull and wipe
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry food, beverage, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
