The Food Runner position at Pacific Hospitality Group plays a pivotal role in enhancing guest experiences by ensuring the swift and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to guests in the dining area. This role requires coordination with the kitchen staff to maintain smooth and timely service and adherence to the company’s high standards for food presentation and guest satisfaction. As a Food Runner, you serve as the essential link between the kitchen and the dining room, responsible for the safe and attractive delivery of meals, guaranteeing that each dish meets quality expectations and is garnished appropriately.

The executor of this role will maintain an organized, safe, and clean environment that reflects the hospitality group’s commitment to quality and customer care. Beyond food delivery, the Food Runner may assist in clearing tables, bussing dishes to dishwashing stations, and resetting tables to prepare for incoming guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all patrons. Communication skills are crucial, as the Food Runner informs wait staff about kitchen delays and product shortages to avoid disruptions in service flow.

This position demands adherence to food safety, sanitation, and health standards as dictated by health department regulations and the company’s protocols. Candidates must hold a current, valid Food Handlers Certification and either possess or be willing to obtain a TABC certification within 30 days of employment.

Job Duties

  • Deliver food trays to dining room ensuring all orders meet presentation standards and guest requests
  • clear tables bus dirty dishes to dishwashing areas and set tables as directed
  • continuously maintain a neat clean organized safe and comfortable environment for guests
  • inform wait staff of kitchen wait times and any product shortages
  • follow all standard food handling sanitation and health department guidelines
