Job Description

The Landings Golf and Athletic Club is a prestigious private luxury residential club located on the scenic Skidaway Island, just 12 miles from historic Savannah. Renowned for its expansive and diverse amenities, the Club caters to members seeking an active and resort-style lifestyle in an elegant and welcoming environment. The Landings Golf and Athletic Club boasts six championship golf courses, 31 tennis courts, 15 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, ten unique dining venues, and five clubhouses. In addition, members enjoy access to five swimming pools and an extensive 52,000 square foot wellness center, all designed to promote wellness, recreation, and social connection among its community of members.

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runners to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our members by ensuring seamless and courteous service in our diverse dining venues. As a Food Runner, you will be the essential link between the kitchen and our members, delivering food promptly and accurately while maintaining excellent communication with chefs and servers. Your role also involves anticipating member needs, handling concerns with professionalism, and contributing to the overall atmosphere of hospitality and luxury that defines our Club.

This position demands a strong attention to detail, knowledge of club menus and offerings, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Food Runners must be proficient in various service styles including tray and tray jack services as well as hand service. Maintaining adherence to food safety programs and all club guidelines is vital to your success in this role. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is expected to accommodate the needs of our members and operations.

Job Requirements

  • Standing and/or walking 100% of shift
  • lifting, carrying or moving from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 50% of shift
  • pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and upward reaching for 85% of shift
  • working in an outside environment, with possibility of working in inclement weather 25% of shift

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food service industry preferred
  • ability to adhere to club standards of service
  • ability to meet physical demands of the position

Job Duties

  • Greet and communicate with members in a warm, courteous and prompt manner
  • inspect ticket orders for accuracy and deliver food correctly, in a timely manner
  • communicate directly with chef and servers
  • be proficient in tray and tray jack service as well as hand service
  • maintain thorough knowledge of club menus and offerings
  • anticipate member needs to provide an exceptional dining experience
  • effectively handle member concerns and demonstrate excellent customer/member service
  • complete food safety programs successfully within 30 days of hire
  • adhere to all written food handling procedures and general safety practices
  • work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • work effectively as part of a team
  • comply with departmental uniform and grooming standards
  • comply with departmental and Club policies and procedures
  • willingness to assist other team members in their duties
