The role of Food Runner is integral to the smooth and efficient operation of our dining service. As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for ensuring that prepared dishes reach the correct tables promptly and presented attractively, enhancing the guests' dining experience. This position requires a warm demeanor for greeting guests and strict adherence to table etiquette. You will attend menu classes regularly to stay updated on current offerings, ingredients, and any menu changes, which allows you to answer guest inquiries knowledgeably and assist with food-related needs effectively. Your duties also include thoroughly setting stations with necessary sauces, condiments, utensils, and folded napkins, ensuring that all supplies remain fully stocked throughout your shift for seamless service continuity.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in your station is a critical responsibility within this role, as is breaking down the station at the end of each shift by properly storing all items in their designated locations. This attention to detail supports a clean and efficient workspace that promotes high standards of hygiene and presentation, directly impacting overall guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in a food runner or similar role preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
