Noii Sushi is a contemporary Japanese restaurant set to open in Fall 2025 in Kirkland. We are currently seeking a part-time Food Runner to join our opening team. This position plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the restaurant by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining area. Reporting to the Floor Manager and General Manager, the Food Runner must be energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting. The role involves coordinating closely with both kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain excellent service flow and guest satisfaction. Starting at a rate of $17.13 plus tips, this is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a dynamic, team-driven environment focused on quality and excellence.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to carry heavy trays safely
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain before starting

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a food runner, server assistant, or similar role preferred but not required
  • Ability to carry trays and navigate a busy dining room with ease
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills
  • Friendly, positive demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Food handler's certification or ability to obtain prior to start

Job Duties

  • Deliver food orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to guest tables
  • Present dishes with knowledge of ingredients when appropriate, elevating the guest experience
  • Assist servers by clearing plates, resetting tables, and refilling beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure smooth service flow
  • Support team members during peak hours to maintain exceptional service standards
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols
