Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred experience in hotel or related field
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance according to scheduling
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations
  • Ability to handle problems and solve issues proactively
  • Ability to cross-train in other hotel areas
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Show initiative and anticipate guest or operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness standards

  • Ability to attend required trainings and meetings

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality service to guests while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times
  • Keep all work areas clean and properly stocked according to meal periods
  • Clean and properly set all tables to property standards
  • Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen in the dishroom area according to standards
  • Assist with pre-bussing tables and promptly address guest requests
  • Complete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to side-work checklist
  • Answer the phone in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Assist fellow employees throughout the shift as needed
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management
