Google is a global technology leader known for its innovative products and services that shape the digital world. As a company that continually strives to create a positive impact on both its users and employees, Google emphasizes a culture of inclusion, creativity, and collaboration. The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing Google’s work environments across multiple cities and regions worldwide. This team ensures that Google’s campuses not only reflect the company’s culture and values but also provide inspiring and seamless spaces where employees can thrive. Key services managed by REWS include workspace design, energizing food programs, convenient transportation options, fitness facilities, and overall workplace operations that support a high-performance culture.
The Food Program Manager (FPM) role at Google’s Bay Area headquarters is a high-visibility leadership position that demands strategic foresight and operational expertise in managing the Food at Google program across multiple campuses. This position requires an individual who can lead the seamless delivery of culinary services tailored to dynamic and evolving business needs, balancing high-touch hospitality experiences with operational scale and financial discipline. The FPM acts as a critical partner to Bay Area leadership, ensuring that the food offerings not only meet but exceed expectations by leveraging vendor management, financial forecasting, and data analytics, including the integration of AI tools for continuous improvement.
In this role, the FPM is expected to manage complex food service operations and collaborate closely with executive partners to design bespoke culinary solutions. The scope includes overseeing regional vendors, ensuring contractual compliance, and setting benchmarks that drive innovation and service excellence. The successful candidate will also be a champion for emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and personalize user experiences, promoting an AI-first mindset in line with Google’s overall strategic vision. This leadership role requires not just operational expertise but also the ability to deliver compelling financial narratives to executive leadership, balancing qualitative user feedback with quantitative data analysis to shape long-term strategy.
The position offers a US base salary range of $205,000 to $285,000, with additional bonus, equity, and benefits. Google’s compensation approach reflects a combination of role, experience, skills, location, and education. This inclusive and dynamic role is an excellent opportunity for candidates who excel in high-volume food service management and aspire to influence strategy at the highest organizational levels while supporting an innovative, high-performing workplace atmosphere.
