Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- minimum 1 year management experience
- ServSafe certification required upon hire
- ability to work in a refrigerated production environment with protective clothing provided
- experience working in unionized settings
- strong communication and leadership abilities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- minimum 1 year management experience
- experience managing high-volume institutional or healthcare food production cook-chill/commissary experience strongly preferred
- knowledge of retherm systems batch cooking blast chilling and large-scale meal distribution processes
- experience working in unionized environments and collaborating effectively with union workforce teams
- strong understanding of food safety regulations temperature control and sanitation standards
- ServSafe certification required upon hire
- proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced production-driven environments
- strong organizational communication and leadership skills
- comfort working in a refrigerated production setting protective clothing provided
Job Duties
- Oversee daily cook-chill food production operations ensuring food is properly prepped cooked cooled and staged for distribution
- monitor retherm standards blast chilling processes holding times and temperature compliance in accordance with DOH and regulatory requirements
- coordinate daily production through cooks food service aides and frontline supervisors
- lead and support a team of approximately 15 union employees fostering accountability teamwork and productivity
- maintain Sodexo’s zero-harm safety culture ensuring adherence to safe work practices and established safety programs
- enforce strict sanitation hygiene and HACCP compliance including production logs and opening/closing procedures
- ensure quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production schedules and workflow
- partner with operational leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives and meet service expectations
