Job Description
Groupe Bonduelle is a globally recognized leader in the production of ready-to-use plant-rich foods. With a history dating back to 1853, this French family-owned company has been at the forefront of plant-based food innovations for over 170 years. Groupe Bonduelle operates with a sustainability mindset, aiming to inspire a transition toward a plant-rich diet that contributes to both people's well-being and the health of our planet. The company prides itself on sustainable agriculture, sourcing plants from 2,000 trusted farmer partners worldwide. This dedication results in high-quality, minimally processed products harvested at peak maturity. Their products are sold in nearly 100 countries, and the company employs over 11,000 associates globally.
Within the U.S., Groupe Bonduelle Fresh Americas functions as the leading business unit, notable for being the first in the group to achieve Certified B Corporation status. Employing nearly 3,000 associates across three processing facilities, this unit focuses on producing fresh vegetable products, prepared salads, and plant-rich meal solutions. The company fosters a people-first culture, emphasizing career advancement opportunities in a positive and sustainable workplace.
The role of Machine Operator 2 is vital to maintaining the efficiency and proper operation of production equipment within these facilities. This position entails operating several specialized machines, including Atlas Operator, ABL Operator, Past Operator, and Clean Room Operator equipment. The Machine Operator 2 plays an essential part in ensuring product quality and production flow by adhering to stringent Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, sanitation, and food safety standards such as SQF and HACCP.
Responsibilities include conducting inspections, performing preventative maintenance, executing startup procedures, and adjusting equipment settings to meet product specifications. Operators must maintain an uninterrupted product flow by managing changeovers and clean breaks and customize chemical mixtures to protect product quality while complying with food safety regulations. Attention to detail is critical, as the role also involves performing visual checks for defects and ensuring all products meet strict quality standards.
This demanding role requires physical stamina and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced environment. Operators must be comfortable working independently or as part of a team and capable of multitasking across multiple positions. The environment typically involves exposure to loud noises and mechanical moving parts, along with frequent lifting and physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
Joining Groupe Bonduelle means becoming part of a mission-driven company committed to making a lasting, positive impact on health and sustainability through plant-rich food products. As a Machine Operator 2, you will have the opportunity to grow your career and contribute to an organization that values quality, safety, innovation, and environmental stewardship. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about plant-based foods, who thrive in dynamic production settings and want to be involved in shaping a more sustainable future through their work.
