Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in cooking or related culinary role
- Food safety certification
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical stamina to handle kitchen duties such as lifting, standing, and walking
- Commitment to teamwork and positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking or a comparable role
- Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking techniques, and compliance with food safety regulations including accurate food handling, cleanliness, and storage procedures
- Food safety certification
- Expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting proficiency
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal communication
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
