The position also requires operating cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers, and employing various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming. Presentation skills are essential as the role includes arranging, garnishing, and portioning food items according to established guidelines.

Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards is critical in this role. You will be responsible for proper food storage, frequent cleaning, and sanitizing of work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure compliance with health regulations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in cooking or food preparation
  • valid food safety certification
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • physical ability to handle kitchen tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • strong communication skills

  • willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking or a comparable role
  • grasp of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking techniques, and compliance with food safety regulations including accurate food handling, cleanliness, and storage procedures
  • fulfillment of requirements for food safety certification
  • expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting proficiency
  • proficiency in interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal communication
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
