Additionally, the Food Production Baker plays an essential role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery workspace, which helps ensure compliance with health department regulations. Physical stamina is important, as the job involves standing for long periods, lifting heavy bags of ingredients, and working with hot baking equipment.

Job Duties

  • Use a blend of various elements in the creation of appetizing baked goods such as cookies, bread, cakes, pastries, and pies
  • regulate the performance of ovens and baking machinery to guarantee that temperatures are accurate and baked goods are cooked to perfection
  • keep an eye on ingredient inventory levels, order supplies when necessary, and ensure ingredients are stored correctly
  • implement proper hygiene practices by regularly cleaning and sanitizing baking tools, work areas, and utensils
  • conduct routine assessments of baked items to ensure they conform to the bakery's standards for appearance, texture, and taste
