The Long Beach KFC location at 2970 Bellflower, CA, is hiring for the position of Team Member. As a Team Member, you will play a crucial role in providing an outstanding guest experience. The role is dynamic and involves cross-training in multiple key areas of the store, including Front Counter, Drive-Thru, and Kitchen operations. This variety ensures that every Team Member gains comprehensive experience and contributes to the smooth operation of the restaurant. Team Members are expected to greet guests warmly within five seconds of arrival, take accurate orders efficiently, process payments, and uphold KFC’s standards of professionalism, including adherence to uniform policies and appearance standards.

In the kitchen, Team Members prepare and assemble menu items following strict procedures to maintain consistency and quality. They must follow all safety and sanitation protocols, such as handwashing and equipment use, to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health regulations. Maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant, including the lobby, kitchen, restrooms, and exterior, is another key responsibility to promote a positive guest experience.

Effective teamwork and clear communication with supervisors and other team members are essential to meet daily operational goals. Team Members support various areas of the restaurant as needed, contributing to a cohesive and efficient team environment.

The position also emphasizes guest interaction skills such as upselling, where Team Members suggest value items or upgrades to enhance a customer’s order, directly supporting restaurant performance and revenue. Politeness, a calm demeanor during busy periods, and sincere appreciation for guests are integral aspects of the role.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assemble food according to KFC standards and procedures

  • Follow handwashing and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Maintain clean work areas including lobby, kitchen, restrooms, and exterior
  • Complete cleaning tasks and checklists as assigned by the Shift Supervisor
  • Follow waste management and recycling procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet shift goals
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers
  • Support other areas of the restaurant as needed
