We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join us for evening shifts from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM, working both weekdays and weekend shifts. This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to become part of our supportive team, where consistent performance could lead to full-time employment. Employees will work 4-5 days per week, including necessary weekend shifts that align with our busiest times. As a member of the Surf Brothers Teriyaki team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless restaurant operations by greeting customers warmly as they enter, preparing high-quality meals following our standards, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. The position emphasizes the importance of communication skills, self-motivation, honesty, and a collaborative mindset to help create an outstanding customer experience. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with additional tips typically ranging from $4 to $5 per hour, bringing the hourly rate to approximately $21 to $22.
Ideal candidates will have some prior experience in customer service or restaurant work, although this is not a strict requirement. Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory. Open availability and reliability are critical for this role, as is the ability to coordinate effectively with coworkers to maintain service efficiency and quality. Job Duties
- Wash dishes
- greet customers as soon as they come into the restaurant
- make meals
- clean and maintain the lobby
- keep restroom stocked and clean
- clean and sanitize daily-use utensils and equipment
- restock lids, cups, hot sauce, napkins, etc.
- inspect each plate to make sure the meat is not burnt and quality food is served
- perform any other duties assigned by the store manager
