Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- One year of experience in food preparation preferred
- Food safety certification required
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment
- Ability to meet security clearance requirements
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum one year of experience in food preparation or related role preferred
- Prior supervisory experience a plus
- Experience in a correctional environment preferred
- Food safety certification required
- Ability to motivate and manage inmates and team members
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrated judgment and professionalism in a correctional setting
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures
- Ability to meet and maintain security clearance requirements
Job Duties
- Oversee inmates in food preparation and tray assembly
- Train employees and assign tasks
- Organize workflow to promote operational efficiency
- Ensure cleanliness and safety compliance in the facility
- Review and approve production and temperature logs
- Manage schedules for food handlers, inmates, and cafeteria staff
- Monitor inventory and equipment maintenance needs
