Job Description

Our establishment is a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment dedicated to delivering high-quality culinary experiences to our guests. We pride ourselves on maintaining exceptional standards of food preparation, hygiene, and customer satisfaction. As a well-established kitchen operation, we focus on teamwork, efficiency, and innovation to bring creative and delicious dishes to the table. Our team comprises skilled culinary professionals who collaborate to craft meals that meet the highest standards of flavor and presentation. We place a strong emphasis on training and development, ensuring that every team member is equipped with the knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.

The Food Preparation Specialist position is a crucial role within our kitchen team. This role is responsible for supporting the Chef and Kitchen Manager with key food preparation duties essential for day-to-day kitchen operations. The specialist helps prepare ingredients for various kitchen stations, ensuring that all components are ready and organized for service. Attention to detail and adherence to standardized recipes are vital to maintain the consistent quality and taste of all dishes served. The Food Preparation Specialist must handle food safely and cleanly, following company and regulatory health standards at all times.

In this role, the specialist will be tasked with preparing and cooking foods that require longer preparation times, completing daily prep activities before service starts, and operating kitchen equipment to measure, mix, and prepare ingredients. The position requires the ability to taste test dishes, monitor production levels, keep accurate records for inventory and supply planning, and maintain a clean and sanitized workstation using a 'clean as you go' approach. Safety is a priority, and the specialist will use personal protective equipment such as cut gloves to minimize risks in the kitchen.

This position also involves assisting with washing dishes, utensils, and food containers as required. Sensory capabilities such as vision, hearing, speaking, and touch are integral to perform duties effectively and safely. Physical demands include frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and other movements compatible with a busy kitchen environment. The Food Preparation Specialist is expected to work efficiently as a part of a team while managing time effectively and following prescribed safety protocols. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable culinary experience and contribute to the successful operation of a professional kitchen environment.
