Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a culinary role
- Equivalent of 2-3 years post-high school education or relevant experience
- Ability to lead and train kitchen staff
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory and budgeting
- Willingness to oversee catering and special events
Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
- Equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
- Comprehensive understanding of food service operational principles
- Skilled at team leadership and managing kitchen challenges
- Effective communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing
- Culinary degree is beneficial but not required
Job Duties
- Manage kitchen team and oversee kitchen functions
- Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks and train kitchen staff
- Monitor daily kitchen operations for smooth service and quality standards
- Develop menus and recipes including food selection and preparation instructions
- Requisition and manage inventory based on anticipated food consumption
- Maintain and operate kitchen equipment correctly to ensure performance
- Uphold sanitation and safety standards to comply with health regulations
- Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction
- Assist in the development of junior culinary staff through mentorship
