Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a culinary role
  • Equivalent of 2-3 years post-high school education or relevant experience
  • Ability to lead and train kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage inventory and budgeting
  • Willingness to oversee catering and special events

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
  • Equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of food service operational principles
  • Skilled at team leadership and managing kitchen challenges
  • Effective communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing
  • Culinary degree is beneficial but not required

Job Duties

  • Manage kitchen team and oversee kitchen functions
  • Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks and train kitchen staff
  • Monitor daily kitchen operations for smooth service and quality standards
  • Develop menus and recipes including food selection and preparation instructions
  • Requisition and manage inventory based on anticipated food consumption
  • Maintain and operate kitchen equipment correctly to ensure performance
  • Uphold sanitation and safety standards to comply with health regulations
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction
  • Assist in the development of junior culinary staff through mentorship
