Job Requirements

  • food protection manager certificate from an ANSI-accredited training provider or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred
  • minimum two years foodservice experience in food preparation preferred
  • experience with elderly in community or healthcare settings preferred
  • minimum one year experience leading or managing foodservice operations preferred
  • valid BLS certification or higher following American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines

Job Duties

  • coordinate all food services including breakfast and lunch preparations, home meals, center snacks, and special events
  • oversee daily duties of kitchen staff to ensure proper food receipt, storage, preparation, service, and disposal
  • maintain compliance with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) standards and regulatory agency requirements
  • keep accurate records for compliance and internal policy adherence
  • ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met according to regulations
  • train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food handling and safety procedures
  • collaborate with other departments to support special event food service needs
