The role of Food Service Worker is pivotal in ensuring that meals are prepared, served, and managed efficiently while adhering to health and safety protocols. Our work schedule consists of rotating shifts on weekdays, specifically Monday to Friday, with options either from 6am to 2pm or from 10:30am to 7pm, allowing flexibility to accommodate different availability. The compensation rate is competitive at $15 per hour, reflecting our commitment to attract dedicated staff.

As a Food Service Worker in this healthcare cafeteria setting, you will engage in varied tasks including assisting in cooking and preparation of food items, such as peeling and slicing fresh ingredients, assembling dishes according to set standards, and ensuring the food line is well-maintained and stocked throughout service hours. You will have responsibility for serving patients, staff, and visitors, while also managing cleanliness through sanitizing workstations, utensils, and equipment to maintain compliance with health safety regulations. Additionally, you will operate POS systems for smooth payment processing and help with inventory management.

Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in food service roles, especially within healthcare or similar institutional environments. Availability to work every other weekend is essential to meet operational needs. The ability to pass a nationwide background check and drug screening test is also required, reflecting the sensitive nature of healthcare operations. While not mandatory, bilingual skills will be considered a strong asset, as they enhance communication within our diverse community.
